St Mary's Playgroup offers a caring, focused childcare environment for children from two and a half years old, up to entry to Primary school.
It is a drop-off playgroup, especially suitable for children wishing to gain social experience away from their primary carers before transitioning to Nursery or Primary school.
The Playgroup is located on the premises of St Mary's RC Primary School, Edinburgh; whilst many children from the Playgroup go on to attend school here, others choose to start Primary school elsewhere. Our group of children come from a variety of backgrounds, faiths and nationalities, and we are always looking to welcome new families into our community, whatever their length of anticipated stay.
Many families use St Mary's Playgroup in conjunction with a part-time Nursery place until their child enters Primary school; others use it as a transitional step to a full-time, government-funded Nursery place.
We can be flexible to each family's individual needs and goals: our personal approach is something we take pride in.
